Factoring, or selling your accounts receivable to another company, has been a part of business commerce since the days of the Roman Empire. But during the last two years, many companies that had been using bank revolving lines of credit have been pushed by their banks into factoring relationships. The number of companies using factoring as a way to level cash flow and provide working capital will continue to grow substantially.
